PANTANO DE BOADELLA
The dam belongs to the river Muga. The dam is in the town Darnius and extends in the region of the Ampurdán (San Lorenzo of Muga, Terrades and maçanet de cabrenys) dam was opened in 1969, is 63 m high, a capacity of 60 Hm3 and surface 363 hectares. The purpose of the dam is to ensure water supply for agricultural and urban uses of the region and produce hydroelectric power. CADAQUES
Cadaqués is the easternmost town on the Iberian Peninsula. Its location between rocky massifs and next to the sea give a special air to this picturesque town. At the highest point of the old town we find the Iglesia Santa María. It is a late Gothic building, started in the middle of the 16th century and finished in the 18th century. Inside we find a prodigious baroque wooden altarpiece made in 1725 and gilded in 1788, designed by Jacinto Moretó and carried out by Pau Costa. The Santa Maria Church appears as a landmark in many photos of Cadaqués. The fishing activity has lost a lot of importance, now tourism is the most important part of the economy of Cadaqués. The Cabo de Creus Natural Park occupies an important part of the municipality. In addition to the surrealist painter Salvador Dalí, Cadaqués has attracted many other well-known painters (Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Marcel Duchamps...
